Top 5 Games To Expect For The Xbox 360
Microsoft is known for its persistence, and if you’re going to invest on the latest incarnation of its gaming machine, this is a piece of good news indeed. The Xbox 360 is upon us, and with it a slew of games that are sure to give us many sleepless nights and unforgettable experiences. With the power of an IBM new generation processor and a Radeon custom graphics chip, this machine can easily be labeled as a monster. With full HD TV support and widescreen gaming, you’re sure to get a gaming experience the likes of which you haven’t seen before. But the system is just half the equation. What really makes a game machine successful is its library of, well, games. If it is supported by renowned third party software companies, you’ll most certainly be able to enjoy all the potentials a gaming system promises. Lo and behold! The Xbox 360 comes with the full backing and faith of software giants like Capcom, Konami, EA, Activision, Atari and even Square-Enix. Let’s take a look at the top five video games that we could expect from the Xbox 360.1. Project Gotham Racing 3. The first two entries in this series were hyped up to be the direct rivals of Sony’s Gran Turismo installments. Well, it was all hype. But Bizarre Creations, a software company operating from Liverpool, promises a driving simulation that would blur that line between fantasy and reality. Early screenshots show that Project Gotham Racing 3 has what it takes to actually compete with the esteemed Vision Gran Turismo for the Playstation 3. Whether they fulfill this promise or not, it sure will be one great year for driving sim enthusiasts the world over! 2. Dead or Alive 4. Tecmo’s flagship game has a storied history with the first Xbox. Its second installment is hailed as the best fighting game of its generation. With the Xbox 360, Dead or Alive 4 promises the same thrills and moves that made its previous versions instant classics. With new characters, new arenas, and juiced up graphics, this would be another excellent title for Microsoft’s wonder toy. 3. Final Fantasy XI. This game is already available for the Sony Playstation 2 and the PC. But the Xbox installment would include the expansion set. Final Fantasy XI is the first multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG) for the series. And with the Xbox 360’s broadband capabilities as well as its 20 gig hard drive, you could download patches and enjoy a smooth gaming experience. Also, the Xbox 360’s headset would make communications with party members so much easier. What gives this game such an important meaning, however, is how Microsoft would handle its partnership with Square-Enix. Many believe that if the game sells well, Square-Enix would also release the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII in Microsoft’s gaming system. 4. Dead Rising. Have you seen the trailed? If not, then download it! No words can do this game justice. Dead Rising is an action-oriented survival horror game, much like the Resident Evil series, only, with emphasis on fast paced action. Not only that, but the game features zombies… lots of them… on screen at the same time. The best shot of what has been released about the game is the main character on top of a car surrounded by miles upon literal miles of zombies, and he is trying to fend them off with a machine gun. Yup. Amazing! 5. Perfect Dark Zero. Though this series by software company Rare traces its roots from Nintendo’s N64, it has made a jump to the Xbox 360 for the prequel of the heroine’s story. Rare, of course, is a respected game developer responsible for bringing to us the finest first person shooter (FPS) of all time, James Bond: Goldeneye. Perfect Dark Zero is poised to add to Rare’s stellar library of award-winning games. These games and other video games are easy to find all you have to do is go to EBay about 3 weeks before they are released to the public. There are usually hundreds of auctions for these at half of what you would pay in a store. |
