Some of the best places to find great vintage costume jewelry are thrift shops. All of them receive donated jewelry, and I have found some amazing pieces in thrift shops. Thrift shop shopping has lost the stigma of being just junk shops or places where the down-and-out shop.

It is a good place to locate vintage jewelry, but more difficult than it use to be to get a good price. The inventory of the best pieces is also lower at some places because many of them now have their own online auction sites, where some of the best stuff goes!
