Bargains in Atlanta - Where To Find Them Is Easier Then You Think

Finding Bargains in Atlanta is easy if you know the right places to look.
With just a few clicks of the mouse you can save enough money on items you
buy everyday that you can use that extra money on other things. When I first
started looking for bargains in my local area I did a few things on my
computer that made it really easy. First thing I did was set up a bookmark
folder where I was going to put all the sites I found that save me money.
I renamed the folder to "Atlanta Bargains" You can change this to whatever
city you live in. I have friends all around the outskirts of Atlanta and
they just changed the name of the folder to things like "Athens Bargains" or
Buckhead Bargains", either way you should get the idea. It is really simple
to do. What you need to do is organize your bookmark folders and when you
see a site just add it to the folder.
Some sites that I have bookmarked are Groupon, Craigslist, EBay, and of
course my local drugstores where I have coupons and savings club points.
This is just a start and as you find more and more sites you will soon amass
a nice list. Another good place to start is to use a search engine and enter
something like "YOUR City + Coupon" and you will get a list of the local
mommy blogs that have local coupons in your town. I was quite surprised when
my friend Betty for Winder Georgia found a bunch of local coupons using this
method.
One of my favorite places is Groupon. They are the king of local bargains
and they email you the popular deals in your city when they happen. I have
saved a ton of money on things that I always wanted to do but never found
the time. There never seems to be enough time in the day to get a massage
but when you can get one at half price or more you make the time for one.
You can actually get free stuff on Craigslist. You just sign up and then
search by city and click on free stuff. People are constantly moving and
they don't have room for all their stuff so they put it on Craigslist for
free. The reason they do this is they would rather have the items go to
someone that could use them then throw them away. You always see things like
air conditioners and refrigerators for free since they are heavy. You will
also find baby clothes from people that their kids have outgrown. Mattresses
are also popular free items but I would be weary of them since you can get
bed bugs that way.
There are also many stores in Atlanta that use Craigslist and offer coupons.
It is cheaper for them to put coupons on Craigslist then to run an add in
the newspaper. I have found a lot of Atlanta discounts this way. I have had
dinner at half price near the Georgia Dome with a coupon and even scored
free tickets to the Falcons from someone that couldn't make the game. This
was a rare win-win but they are out there.
You can also find coupons on Facebook for local places. What you do is go to
Facebook and type in something like "Atlanta restaurant coupons" and you
will find places that have fan pages and they give out coupons just for you
liking the page. Some require an email and that's ok. Odds are they won't
send you anything but local coupons so that's a good thing.
You can also do the same thing using Twitter. There are a lot of businesses
that are getting involved in social media that are offering coupons. You can
follow places like the Georgia Aquarium who may have a special ticket prices
during the slow season. Some places like museums have special url's in their
Twitter profile that leads to special discounts that they don't list on
their websites.
So in summary some places that you should bookmark is Groupon, Craigslist,
EBay, Facebook, and Twitter.
